PTFE petri dish (or Teflon petri dish) is a better substitute to PS petri dish and glass petri dish, it can be heated on hotplate (260º C), non-toxic and corrosion resistant.

PTFE has advantages of surface finish, low coefficient of friction, lubricity, high working temperature (up to 260º C),excellent dielectric properties,corrosion resistance.
